Race Comments

Race 1   TERRANOVA RACING SYNDICATES MOBILE TROT
LENINGRAD - broke in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
COSMIC ANGEL - held up in the early and middle stages of the run home. Stewards questioned driver M Heenan regarding his decision not to utilise the passing lane when it became available resulting in his runner being held up. Mr Heenan explained that when he had initially attempted to shift down the track the mare had hung outwards and for this reason he elected to attempt a run between BLITHE and THE FIERY COUNTESS which had presented itself near the 150m. Mr Heenan added that the gap had closed a short time later when both runners had shifted ground marginally resulting in him having to shift wider on the track to obtain clear racing room. After considering his explanation no further action was deemed necessary.
