Race 1   KING OF SWING STANDING AT COBBITTY EQUINE MOBILE PACE
MAXIMILIAN - paced roughly shortly after the start. Broke over the concluding stages. Authorisation of 1st placing was withheld until Stewards confirmed the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation. Driver S Wigg was warned for using her whip free of the rein in the run home.
ITZ TO THE MACS - held up early in the run home.
BOLZANO - raced wide early stages. Raced three wide without cover from the 1100m.
SWEET AND SOUR - driver J Buckland-Stevens was spoken to advisedly for using her whip on a runner out of contention over the concluding stages.
Trainer M Williamson advised Stewards on 21 August that WOLFENSTEIN has had its knees treated since last racing.
Race 2   MARCOOLA STANDING AT NEVELE R STUD HANDICAP TROT
RUBY SEDDON - weakened rounding the final bend. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer/driver J Cox advised the mare had trotted roughly and he would be having the horse further examined in the coming days and undertook to notify Stewards of any findings.
INSTANT DELIGHT - broke passing the 700m.
SIOUX PRINCESS - began awkwardly. Over-raced middle stages.
Trainer J Cox advised Stewards on 9 August that RUBY SEDDON has had its hocks treated since last racing.
Race 3   CENTURY FARROH STANDING AT LLOWALONG FARM MOBILE PACE
RAKAJED - held up early in the run home.
RAGING ON - raced wide early.
HUTASA - trainer T Yesberg was issued a warning for presenting the gelding to race with removable deafeners which had not been notified.
DULCINEA - held up early in the run home.
Race 4   LATHER UP STANDING AT WOODLANDS STUD NZ MOBILE PACE
OLIVIA'S STAR - weakened final bend.
SPARK IT UP - broke shortly after the start. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts. Briefly paced roughly passing the 900m. Held up final bend by a weakening runner.
RITA BONITA - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start. Paced roughly over the concluding stages.
CRIMSON ROCK - held up final bend by a weakening runner.
SWEET MILA JEAN - hung inwards throughout the run home.
THE MATRIARCH - hampered and hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the candy pole.
MOET SHARD - raced greenly in the score up and was out of position at the candy pole and start despite the efforts of driver C DeFilippi. Stood down to complete one satisfactory mobile trial prior to resuming.
Race 5   LOCHARBURN STANDING AT PHOEBE STALLIONS HANDICAP PACE
PINK FLAMINGO RUN - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer V Sell advised the mare had been unlucky in its recent racing and had benefited from an economical run today.
LET'S GO RINGO - held up early in the run home.
RAKE - began awkwardly.
Race 6   13 ALABAR STALLIONS SUPPORTING NZ BREEDERS MOBILE PACE
EMMY - held up rounding the final bend.
APATCHOFGOLD - over-raced in the score up. Held up rounding the final bend.
Race 7   ERIDAN STANDING AT HARAS DES TROTTEURS TROT
MUSCLYNN - broke at the start losing ground. Held up early in the run home and hung inwards. Driver P Wakelin advised she had not activated the removable deafeners in consequence.
REINDEER TROUBLE - broke at the start losing ground. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts.
SHOW THE WAY - broke at the start losing ground.
BROTHER LOVE - broke shortly after the start and shifted up the track making contact with an outside runner losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
GINAS MAJESTY - contacted by an inside runner shortly after the start. Held up middle stages of the run home.
GOTTA TICKET - broke over the concluding stages. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation and was not lapped on at the finish. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the horse.
Race 8   SKY MAJOR STANDING AT WAI EYRE FARM MOBILE PACE
HES SANTAS EXCUSE - broke near the 150m before settling prior to the finish line. Stewards lodged a protest against 3rd placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the gelding had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. The connections did not contest the protest and after viewing the replays HES SANTAS EXCUSE was disqualified by the Adjudicative Committee. Trainer J Cox advised he will have the gelding examined by his veterinarian in the coming days and undertook to notify any findings to Stewards.
WHITE STAR ORLANDO - when questioned regarding the performance driver K Newman advised the gelding had not handled the track conditions today and was unable to quicken when asked for an effort over the concluding stages.
NO GEE ESS TEE - weakened from the 600m and struck several track markers. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare had suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG prior to resuming.
KENNEDY - raced wide early. Over-raced middle stages.
CAB CALLOWAY - raced wide early. Over-raced middle stages.
BETTERTHANDIVA - raced wide from the 1600m.
