Race 6 - COMMODORE AIRPORT HOTEL CHCH WINTER REWARDS MOBILE PACE
Driver J Morrison (FRANCO HUNTINGTON) admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly when contacting the sulky wheel of TASHS BAD GIRL near the 1500m. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $250.

Stable representative J Dunn advised Stewards on 17 July that blood tests taken from ABSOLUTE DYNAMITE revealed no abnormalities and that the gelding had recovered well from its last race.

Race 1   IRT. YOUR HORSE. OUR PASSION. (AMATEUR DRIVERS) MOBILE PACE
TANE J J - held up final bend.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - paced roughly near the 900m when shifting ground. Driver S Wigg reported the sliding blinds were not activated due to the cord becoming entangled.
ALEXY - hampered near the 1100m when there was a slight easing of the pace and became awkwardly placed on the back of FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ. Over-raced for a distance near the 1000m and contacted the sulky of FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ and broke near the 900m losing ground.
ITZ TO THE MACS - raced wide early. Over-raced through the middle stages when being restrained to obtain cover.
MOODY RIVER - hampered near the 1100m when there was a slight easing of the pace. When spoken to regarding the performance trainer M Purvis advised he was disappointed with the effort and he would be having blood tests taken. Stewards will follow up with Mr Purvis regarding the results of these tests in the coming days.
OFF THE EDGE - hampered near the 1100m when there was a slight easing of the pace. Driver A Edge reported he did not activate the sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
ARIZONAWILDCAT - paced roughly near the 200m.
MAYBE - broke briefly in the score up after baulking at DISMARA which had attempted to position itself under the mobile barrier arm and was slightly out of position at the start. Lay inwards in the run home.
Trainer M Purvis advised Stewards on 22 July that MOODY RIVER has been treated for a virus since last racing.
Race 2   HARNESS RACING UNHINGED ON FACEBOOK MOBILE TROT
CIRCUS CIRCUS - trotted roughly over the early stages.
PAIGE - broke near the 250m.
Race 3   SPECTATORS BAR MOBILE PACE
UPSIZE ME - paced roughly for a distance passing the 100m.
PEMBROOK'S PRINCESS - broke after 150m hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Cast a shoe after breaking in the early stages.
SHEZA MANIPULATOR - hampered by a breaking runner after 150m.
TAKE A HIKE - hampered by a breaking runner after 150m. Held up early in the run home.
WRIGGLES RUFUS - hampered by a breaking runner after 150m. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the run home.
MAMMA MIA - hampered by a breaking runner and broke after 150m.
Race 4   AVON CITY FORD MOBILE PACE
RAKERO RAIDER - hung inwards and contacted track markers on the final bend.
THE TROPHY HUNTER - hung inwards on several occasions through the running placing the driver in some difficulty. Weakened from the 900m hampering trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
TEMPO WARRIOR - hampered by a weakening runner near the 900m.
ALTA METEOR - hampered by a weakening runner near the 900m.
Trainer G Smith advised Stewards on 18 July that RAKERO RAIDER is being treated for a respiratory infection and will be sent for a spell.
Race 5   FAHEY FENCE HIRE HANDICAP PACE
PINK FLAMINGO RUN - held up middle stages of the run home.
KENNEDY - began awkwardly and broke shortly after the start. Over-raced early and middle stages. Checked by a breaking runner near the 1800m. Shifted ground outwards forcing an outside runner wider near the 1100m. When questioned regarding this driver K Cox advised the gelding had been striking the sulky wheel discs due to over-racing and when ON REPORT raced lethargically this had placed her in some difficulty so elected to shift wider for safety reasons. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
MAJOR MEMPHIS - hampered near the 1800m. Lay outwards near the 700m when leading. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
SONGBIRD - checked by a breaking runner near the 1800m.
ON REPORT - raced lethargically approaching the 1200m placing the trailing KENNEDY which was over-racing in difficulty.
STAR MAGIC - over-raced and became awkwardly positioned on the back of KINGSDOWN ATOM and broke near the 1800m checking trailing runners. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Over-raced again near the 900m. Weakened final bend. Trainer/driver G Smith advised he would be considering making gear changes prior to resuming.
RAKE - checked by a breaking runner near the 1800m. Forced to race wide near the 1100m.
SHARDS FURY - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver S Thornley advised the gelding had appreciated the strong tempo of today's race.
Race 6   XCM SPORT MOBILE PACE
DIDJANOTHATONE - hung outwards late in the score up and made heavy contact with an outside runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
CHRISLYNN - hampered late in the score up however was in position at the start.
WATCH ME - over-raced early and middle stages. Weakened leaving the final bend.
TERROR EYES - lay inwards over the concluding stages.
NEMO BANDEIRA - had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
RODASI - pre-race warmed. Hampered late in the score up and was out of position at the start.
Race 7   PENINSULAR BEACHFRONT RESORT HANDICAP TROT
REINDEER TROUBLE - hung inwards and was held up in the early stages of the run home.
MICKEY JAY - hampered by a breaking runner near the 200m.
KOHLI TROUBLE - raced greenly racing into the first bend.
TAKE AFTER ME - checked by a breaking runner near the 200m.
RUBY SEDDON - trotted roughly over the concluding stages.
THE FIERY SPIRIT - broke near the 200m checking trailing runners. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
JERRY GARCIA - raced wide early stages.
GRANNY ROSE - broke near the 2100m losing all chance. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial prior to resuming.
WYNBERG WATCH - trotted roughly near the 200m.
Race 8   FIRST DIRECT TAXIS MOBILE PACE
MARK DUNNETT - over-raced middle stages when in the parked position. Weakened from the 700m.
POCKET CALL - raced wide early. Hung inwards in the middle stages and was eased out of the race near the 1500m when proving uncontrollable. When questioned regarding this driver J Dunn advised the horse had locked on one rein. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
MAXIMILIAN - paced roughly over the concluding stages.
TALIESIN - hung inwards rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised the gelding had been making abnormal breathing noises due to over-racing so he elected to go forward in an attempt to relax the horse however this had affected its ability to finish the race off competitively. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
Trainer M House advised Stewards on 22 July that TALIESIN has recovered well since last racing and will continue with its current preparation.
