Race 10 - FIRST DIRECT TAXIS MOBILE PACE
Junior driver S O'Reilly (assisted by G O'Reilly) admitted a breach of Rule 868(2) in that she failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to ensure TASMAN TEMPEST was given full opportunity to win or obtain the best possible position and/or finishing place by not shifting wider on the track on the final bend when an opportunity existed resulting in her horse being held up for clear racing room in the run home. After viewing the replays and considering penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Miss O'Reilly's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 7 July up to and including 17 July 2022 (4 days).

A false start was declared when RAPID RESPONSE breasted the barrier strand despite the efforts of driver T Chmiel. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
SPORTS BABE - shifted outwards at the start crowding an outside runner.
BROMAC TIMES - crowded at the start. Over-raced middle stages.
TYKE - weakened final bend.
RAPID RESPONSE - held up throughout the run home.
WESTAR LAD - broke at the start losing ground. A final warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced wide early.
AIRIES GOLD - broke at the start losing ground. Lay inwards at various stages throughout.
THE ELITE ATHLETE - jumped a shadow just prior to the winning post and paced roughly.
STUNIN SID - fractious prior to the start.
WINEMEUP - raced four wide from the 600m.

TAKE A HIKE - held up final bend and early in the run home.
WRIGGLES RUFUS - junior driver W House was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
SEARING LIGHT - broke passing the 100m. Driver G O'Reilly reported he sustained a punctured sulky tyre near the 2000m.
MATADOR - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Raced fiercely through the middle stages causing driver M Hill difficulty. Junior driver M Hill (assisted by R May) admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.
DIDJANOTHATONE - held up final bend.
MOVE IT ON OVER - over-raced and paced roughly passing the 2200m.
LIZZIE RICHTER - became awkwardly placed behind SEARING LIGHT near the 2000m and broke after making contact with that runner's sulky wheel despite the efforts of driver T Chmiel after a slight easing of the pace. Again broke briefly passing the 1900m.
KNOCKSHANBALLY - broke as the start was effected. Stood down to complete one satisfactory mobile trial prior to resuming.
Race 3   FAHEY FENCE HIRE TROT
STANLEY JAMES - began awkwardly. Broke near the 1400m before switching to a pace and had to be broken up by driver B Orange. Broke again near the 400m hampering a trailing runner.
RANDOM SPUR - broke near the 900m hampering a trailing runner. Hampered on the final bend and broke.
TROT TO CHEVRON - broke near the 200m hampering trailing runners.
SINNER COOL - broke after 100m. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 200m.
TIGHT N BRIGHT - broke after 150m. Broke again near the 1500m and the 1200m. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial prior to resuming.
THE FIERY COUNTESS - hampered and broke after 150m losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 900m after a slight easing of the pace.
MC SQUARED - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver M Williamson advised the mare had derived benefit from its last start after a spell and had appreciated the shorter distance of today's race.
KIWI COLT - broke after 150m losing ground. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 900m.
SASSY STAR - back from its position at the start. Trotted roughly in the run home and was unable to be fully driven out by driver K Butt.
A LATE LATE PRESSY - broke racing into the first bend losing ground. Cleared from the unruly for future standing starts.
LENINGRAD - hampered by a breaking runner near the 200m.
Race 4   NEVELE R STUD PACE
HIDDEN DESIRE - junior driver S Thornley (assisted by R May) admitted a charge under Rule 869(7A)(a) in that he allowed his gelding to shift inwards and strike the final track marker prior to the passing lane. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $100.
ATOMIC TRAVELLER - broke at the start losing ground. Over-raced middle stages.
SEAPRIS - hung inwards throughout the run home and was unable to be fully driven out by driver J Dunn.
KINGSDOWN ATOM - broke briefly at the start .
PHONE TAP - broke briefly at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
HILDA MAUD - slow to begin. Over-raced middle stages.

TANE J J - weakened leaving the final bend.
I'LL WRITE THE STORY - raced keenly throughout. Weakened near the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
MANZINI - weakened from the 800m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the mare.
DISMARA - over-raced early stages. Held up by a weakening runner on the final bend.
TALIESIN - the required veterinary clearance was received. Lay inwards rounding the final bend and early in the run home.
FOUR STARZZZ SHIRAZ - broke briefly early in the score up however was in position at the start.
IT'S A SHAWTHING - paced roughly shortly after the start. Over-raced middle stages. Weakened final bend.
Trainer B Weaver advised Stewards on 8 July that I'LL WRITE THE STORY has recovered well since last racing and will continue with the mare's current preparation.

GAYTANA - broke shortly after the start hampering a trailing runner and losing considerable ground.
BOURBON ON THE ROCKS - briefly hampered by a breaking runner shortly after the start.
GINAS MAJESTY - began awkwardly. Trotted roughly in the run home.
PALISADE - began awkwardly.
MICKEY JAY - broke at the start losing considerable ground.

KHAL DROGO - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer/driver B Butt advised the gelding had worked hard at its previous start on a fast tempo and had benefited from a more economical run today.

WHERE'S DADDY - broke at the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Race 8   AVON CITY FORD MOBILE PACE
FRANCO CORNEL - paced roughly in the score up.
CLASSEY ROBIN - trainer G Smith was warned for being late to notify the mare would be racing with sliding blinds. Weakened final bend.
PLAYBOY PRINCE - held up by a weakening runner on the final bend.
LUMINITE - when questioned regarding the improved performance driver S Thornley advised the mare had appreciated the drop back in class today and had received an economical run when leading and being able to dictate the tempo of the race.
ITZ TO THE MACS - raced wide final bend.
GLITZ AND GLAM - raced wide without cover from the 600m.
WHITE STAR ORLANDO - raced wide early. Weakened final bend.
Race 9   HYDROFLOW (JUNIOR DRIVERS) MOBILE TROT
MAJESTICMITE - weakened final bend.
SIOUX PRINCESS - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
SIMONE LINDENNY - broke in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Over-raced middle stages. Trotted roughly near the 500m. Broke again leaving the final bend.
LAURIES LEGACY - broke late in the score up losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
MAUI - held up early in the run home.
LISTEN EASY - hung inwards final bend contacting and racing inside several track markers when driver C Dalgety activated gear. Junior driver C Dalgety was warned to make a greater effort to avoid making contact with track markers.
ROYAL PRIDE - pre-race warmed. Out of position at the start. Junior driver S Thornley was issued a warning. Mr Thornley reported the toe weights came adrift during the warm up.
Race 10   FIRST DIRECT TAXIS MOBILE PACE
DEJA BLUE - when questioned regarding the improved performance trainer M Cations reported the mare had raced without luck in its recent starts.
SISTER'S DELIGHT - over-raced early stages.
MOP - over-raced early and middle stages. Weakened leaving the final bend. Driver M Williamson reported he would be recommending gear changes.
LYNRYD SKYNRYD - raced keenly throughout.
BOLZANO - raced wide early.
