PETER FORSBERG - lay in at various stages.
PIIKI WHARA - late scratching due to travel disruptions.
COMIC BOOK HERO - weakened from the 700m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
BUGALUGS - raced wide early before being restrained towards the rear.
JACK TAR - connections advised that the gelding cast the off fore shoe during the running.
BROOKIES JAFFA - late scratching due to travel disruptions.
M T POCKETS - raced wide early before crossing to the parked position near the 1300m.
CLAUDE - paced roughly throughout before breaking passing the 300m when at the rear. A post-race veterinary examination revealed various minor abrasions and lacerations. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
Co-Trainer A Neal advised Stewards on 7 July that CLAUDE had recovered well and had been treated for minor abrasions in preparation for tonight's racing at Cambridge. Mr Neal also added that the gelding had crossfired after running a quick tempo into the first bend and would derive benefit from the longer trip and switching to a stand at Cambridge.
Race 2   BONDED NZ HANDICAP TROT
A false start was declared at the first attempt after LOVE AND FAITH swung outwards prior to the barriers being released hampering CYBER ATTACK which was denied a fair start.
TRIFOLIUM - hampered by a weakening runner leaving the back straight the final time.

DYNAMITE DEZ - hampered by a breaking runner entering the first turn. Weakened in the run home.
JONO B - raced wide early stages. Stewards investigated an incident passing the 1150m where this gelding was caught three wide after OHOKA CREED shifted away from the marker line. It was established that Driver J Stormont (OHOKA CREED) had commenced his outward movement prior to JONO B covering his sulky wheel and no further action was deemed necessary. JONO B then raced three wide for the remainder before weakening on the final bend.
TUGAWAR - paced roughly late in the score up and shortly after the start. Commenced to over-race middle stages before being taken around to race outside the leader. Continued to over-race for some distance.

INVICTUS - broke shortly after the start and trailed the field throughout.
Race 5   CONSTRUCTION SOFTWARE MOBILE PACE
JOHN WAYNE - lay out racing through the straights and in particular throughout the run home placing Driver S Abernethy at a considerable disadvantage. When questioned Mr Abernethy advised that he had attempted to improve to the outside of MIDFREW LUCRE (leader) early in the run home, however the gap had closed as he had not been in a position to shift NELSON'S BOY wider on the track. Mr Abernethy further stated that he then had the opportunity to use the passing lane but his gelding had proved reluctant to shift down to take that run.
NELSON'S BOY - raced wide early stages.
MIDFREW LUCRE - raced wide early and middle stages before improving to lead near the 1400m.
BLAZING LOUIE - over-raced middle stages. Locked sulky stays with TONITES DELIGHT briefly near the 40m. Stewards were satisfied that both horses had shifted ground marginally in this incident and took the matter no further.
BOW MACH - pulled hard in the score up. Continued to over-race early and middle stages. Commenced to weaken near the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing manners. Connections advised that the gelding will not be persevered with as a racing proposition from their stable.

ALANA - trainer L Chin was cautioned for presenting the mare without the notified blind. Broke entering the first turn when leading and galloped a considerable distance before settling towards the rear.
