VORONOV - slow in the early stages.
EMMA JOY - back from position when the barrier strand was released.
YA KNOW - held up rounding the final bend by a weakening runner. Trotted roughly in the run home.
MY HOPE - back from position when the barrier strand was released. Lay in rounding the bends. Compounded from the 800m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed on the mare's racing performance.
DORIS RAE - broke at the start losing all chance.
SON OF A SUN - raced wide in the early stages. Raced keenly through the middle stages before improving to the lead near the 1500m. Weakened rounding the final bend. When questioned regarding the performance Driver M McKendry advised that the gelding had over-raced during the running with the effort taking its toll. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a superficial abrasion to the off hind pastern.
Race 2   CHOCOLATE NIGHT @CR, TICKETS ON SALE NOW MOBILE PACE
SPIRITED LOU - Trainer P Screen was issued with a warning for presenting the colt with blinds that had not been notified. Broke as the start was effected losing ground. A warning was placed on the colt's barrier record. Held up rounding the final bend and early in the run home.
HERE COMES MY GIRL - Junior Driver N Balle had some difficulty activating the removable deafeners rounding the final bend with the mare shifting up the track. Notwithstanding this, Miss Balle was spoken to advisedly to make a greater effort to ensure her runner does not shift wider.
ANDY QUICK - over-raced through the middle stages. Had some difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home.
ALWAYS B CHARLIE - raced three wide without cover from the 800m. Weakened in the run home.
MISS YOU BROMAC - broke late in the score up losing ground. A warning was placed on the mare's barrier record. Weakened in the run home.
Race 3   NZ AMATEUR DRIVERS CHAMPIONSHIP (Heat 1) MOBILE PACE
COMIC BOOK HERO - Amateur Driver C Sharpe was shown the replay and issued with a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.
COMEDY ACT - lay in and contacted a track marker in the run home.
MR INCREDIBLE - hung out throughout the running causing Amateur Driver M Northcott considerable difficulty. Ms Northcott will be spoken to for the manner she drove near the 1500m when attempting to correct her runner that was hanging. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.

Race 4   GAVELHOUSE.COM MOBILE PACE
CONOR MCGREGOR - compounded from the 500m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the gelding.
FLETCH MAGUIRE - shifted out marginally in the early stages of the run home.
MAJOR THOMAS - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Placed on the Unruly for future mobile starts. Paced roughly racing into the first bend. Lay in passing the 800m dislodging several track markers.
THE FISHERMAN - compounded from the 500m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. A warning was placed on the racing performance of the gelding.
TUGAWAR - skied its head on several occasions during the running. Raced three wide without cover from the 1300m until reaching the parked position near the 500m.
LIL RIPPER - A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination at the request of the connections revealed the mare to have a respiratory infection. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
JONO B - Driver A Matthews was shown the replay and issued with a warning for using her whip in a continuous manner in the run home.
Trainer T Dewe advised Stewards on 29 November that MAJOR THOMAS has had its hocks treated since last racing.

BENDER - over-raced in the early and middle stages when racing in the parked position. Weakened from the 500m.
WHERES THE GOLD - Driver B Butcher was issued with a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the early stages of the run home.
IDEAL ZEN - over-raced in the middle stages. Paced roughly and broke for several strides when there was an easing of the pace near the 1050m checking a trailing runner. Continued to over-race before improving wide near the 700m and was then forced to race four wide. Weakened final bend.
CLASSY OPERATOR - Co-Trainer/Driver D Ferguson advised Stewards that the gelding would be driven with cover should circumstances permit. Checked near the 1050m by a breaking runner losing ground. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room throughout the run home. Stewards questioned Driver D Ferguson regarding the tactics he adopted during the running. Mr Ferguson explained that he had improved three wide with cover behind IDEAL ZEN from the 700m however he had been forced to race four wide with cover shortly after when runners to his inside shifted outwards. Mr Ferguson added that IDEAL ZEN had commenced to weaken on the final bend leaving him poorly positioned wide on the track. He further added that due to the tempo of the race increasing markedly combined with his horse not travelling as well as expected he elected to shift inwards to save ground rather than shift outwards around the weakening IDEAL ZEN as he would be obliged to race very wide on the track. After considering his explanation and viewing the replays, Stewards were satisfied Mr Ferguson's tactics were not unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further.

COS I CAN - Trainer M Berger was issued with a warning for presenting the colt without the notified blinds.
BENJAMIN BUTTON - held up rounding the final bend and throughout the run home.
Race 6   DUNSTAN HORSEFEEDS HANDICAP TROT
TRAMPS LIKE US - broke near the 2250m and was taken up the track before settling. Commenced to give ground passing the 1000m. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
FLYING SCOTSMAN - broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground. Broke again near the 1900m losing further ground. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
GREY STOKE - broke briefly when there was a slight easing of the pace in the running line near the 2000m hampering trailing runners.
ROMEO FOXTROT - trotted roughly in the run home.
MY ROYAL ROXY - hampered by a breaking runner passing the 2200m. Gave ground from the 600m.
BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY - hampered by a breaking runner near the 2000m after a slight easing of the pace.
SUPERFAST NINJA - hampered by a breaking runner near the 2000m after a slight easing of the pace.

RIVERMAN SAM - paced roughly final bend and early stages of the run home.
HIGH POINT - tangled away.

JACCKA COOPER - swung inwards at the start. Broke racing into the first bend losing ground. Raced keenly middle stages.
WILD CARD - shifted outwards at the start.
Race 8   GREGORY EQUINE MATAMATA MOBILE PACE
FIRE AND DELIGHT - broke in the score up losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the filly's barrier record. Weakened from the 700m and was retired from the race.
IMASHADOWPRINCESS - gave ground from the 400m.
CASHLODO FLYBYE - raced wide early.
Race 9   WEDNESDAY QUIZ NIGHT AT THE CLUBHOUSE TROT
SHARE THE LOVE - Driver T Macfarlane advised that he did not activate the removable deafeners due to having the field covered.
DEBBIE LEE GALLEON - broke rounding the first bend losing considerable ground. Trotted roughly passing the 500m losing ground. Authorisation of this runner's promoted 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied that the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages. A warning was placed on the mare's racing record.
PRESIDENTS TOPSHOT - broke approaching the 100m and continued on in a break until just short of the finish line. A Protest was lodged under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation against 4th placing being awarded to the gelding alleging that it had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m of the race. The Protest was not contested by the connections and the gelding was disqualified by the Adjudicative Committee. A warning was placed on the gelding's racing record.
SONSOFTHEMERCH - broke at the start and continued on in a break for a considerable distance losing all chance and was retired from the race. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
