When questioned regarding this, driver T Williams said he was aware the position outside the leader was available after driver B Orange (SHELL SHOCK) had restrained his runner, however, his horse had lay inwards and raced greenly on several occasions when improving forward and despite his efforts made contact with the leg of SHELL SHOCK resulting in him sustaining a punctured sulky tyre. After considering his explanation and taking into account the racing manners of both horses Stewards took the matter no further other than to remind Mr Williams of his obligations when shifting ground. | |
