Trainer T Yesberg contacted Stewards on 5 June to advise that after initially informing that UPTOWN FUNK would be gelded subsequent to its last start, he had elected not to have the procedure carried out due to the inclement weather at the time scheduled. Mr Yesberg added that the colt has also been treated for a virus.

Trainer D Iremonger advised Stewards on 9 June that SUNNY SON had recovered well following its last start and he has been pleased with the gelding's trackwork in preparation for racing at Addington on Sunday 12 June.

PAT MACH - hung inwards from the 400m causing driver G Smith difficulty. A post-race veterinary examination of the mare revealed lameness in the right front leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
HIKOI HINE - trainer S Jacobs was warned for presenting the mare with blinds and removable deafeners that had not been notified. Hung inwards throughout causing driver K Newman considerable difficulty. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare. Mr Jacobs advised he would give consideration to sending the mare for a spell.
NO GEE ESS TEE - trainer T Yesberg advised the mare has had a wind operation since last racing.
FLYAWAY - raced wide early. Paced roughly middle stages. Broke near the 500m losing all chance. A final warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
JANARTY - raced wide early. Held up final bend.
VIOLET KNIGHT - lay inwards for a distance passing the 1200m. Held up final bend.

HA'PENNY BRIDGE - trotted roughly passing the 2200m and was unable to hold the back of the leading SASSY STAR which enabled SEBASTIAN COE to shift inwards ahead of HA'PENNY BRIDGE.
SASSY STAR - broke when leading near the 1800m losing all chance.
EMILY - driver M Edmonds admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip free of the rein in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions Mr Edmonds driver's licence was suspended by the Adjudicative Committee from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 3 July 2022 (6 days).
PAIGE - began awkwardly before breaking losing considerable ground. Hampered by a breaking runner near the 1100m. Trotted roughly in the run home.
KIWI HEIR - crowded by an outside runner just prior to the start losing all chance. Declared a non-runner by Stewards after being denied a fair start.
MAJESTIC WHISPER - shifted inwards crowding an inside runner just prior to the start being effected.
SEBASTIAN COE - broke near the 140m and continued on in a break over the finish line. Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing being awarded to the gelding under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation for breaking in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. The connections did not contest the protest and after viewing the replays SEBASTIAN COE was disqualified by the Adjudicative Committee.
LUCINDA HEST - hampered at the start losing all chance. Declared a non-runner by Stewards after being denied a fair start.
PIPER HIGHLANDER - over-raced middle stages. Broke near the 1100m hampering a trailing runner and losing all chance.

THETOTALPACKAGE - broke briefly early in the score up. Despite the efforts of driver T Chmiel was unable to hold the back of BRI EXPRESS which was leading near the 1400m which enabled DANCING DESIRE to shift ground inwards ahead of THETOTALPACKAGE. Weakened near the 700m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
DANCING DESIRE - paced roughly shortly after the start.
SECRET COCKTAIL - briefly hampered shortly after the start.
BRI EXPRESS - lay outwards when leading passing the 1400m and shifted up the track.
DAVID NIVEN - raced wide early. Driver R Close reported the gelding had paced roughly in the score up.
BEACH HOPPER - hung outwards in the score up and was out of position at the start. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
GET SMART - weakened final bend.
UPTOWN FUNK - weakened final bend.
AMP IT UP - raced wide early.
EASTWOOD DREAM - held up by a weakening runner for a distance passing the 700m.

BRAEVIEW KELLY - held up for clear racing room throughout the run home. Driver B Orange reported the removable deafeners and sliding blinds were not activated in consequence.
SMIFFY'S TERROR - held up for clear racing room in the run home.
SERIOUS MOONLITE - lay inwards throughout the run home.

lSYrie7Vso4 BROTHER LOVE - began awkwardly.
MUSCLYNN - driver P Wakelin defended a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) alleging that she drove carelessly racing into the first bend by shifting ground inwards when insufficiently clear of MADELEINE STOWE (P Davis) which was checked and broke. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards, P Wakelin and P Davis, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Miss Wakelin's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 26 June 2022 (4 days).
KAHNTDOITALONE - broke shortly after the start losing all chance.
CODY BANNER - trotted roughly throughout with driver M Williamson unable to drive the gelding out fully in the run home.
FLYIN SID - slow to begin before breaking shortly after the start losing all chance.
MADELEINE STOWE - checked and broke racing into the first bend losing ground.
EUROKASH - co-trainer G Hope advised that the gelding has had a fetlock treated since last racing. Driver B Hope will be spoken to for the manner he drove for a distance passing the 1600m.
BEYOND THE HORIZON - broke at the start losing all chance
KING OF LOVE - broke after 150m losing all chance.
HARRY POTTER - broke near the 400m losing all chance.
MAUI - broke racing into the first bend losing ground.
Junior driver B Hope (assisted by T Williams) was issued with a warning for careless driving for a distance passing the 1600 metres after he failed to take sufficient restraint of EUROKASH which made contact with driver P Wakelin (MUSCLYNN) on several occasions.

MOSSDALE MAC - driver B Hope will be spoken to regarding the manner in which he shifted ground outwards leaving the final bend which crowded an outside runner.
SMOKIN ANNIE - lay inwards rounding the final bend when being forced wider by an inside runner.
SOPHIA BROMAC - hung outwards and paced roughly in the run home with driver J Dunn unable to fully drive the mare out. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
WINEGUM - raced wide early.
TIGER TAYLOR - raced wide early.
AJIRA - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1300m. Crowded leaving the final bend when an inside runner shifted wider. Driver C Dalgety was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. When questioned, driver C Dalgety advised he was disappointed with the performance of the gelding and could offer no explanation. The connections advised they would give consideration to freshening the gelding prior to resuming.
WOODLEA BEAVER - driver K Cox advised the filly had been striking its sulky wheels during the running when over-racing.
Stewards questioned junior driver B Hope (assisted by T Williams) regarding the manner he drove leaving the final bend when shifting ground outwards on MOSSDALE MAC. Mr Hope explained that he had shifted wider on the track when having an advantage over AJIRA (C Dalgety) which was racing to his outside. However, SOPHIA BROMAC who MOSSDALE MAC had been trailing had also shifted ground simultaneous to his manoeuvre which meant his runner had to race wider than anticipated resulting in AJIRA being hampered briefly. After considering the matter, Stewards could not apportion sole blame to any one horse or driver and took the matter no further.

7KID8ZuNlOY MIKEY MAGUIRE - checked by a breaking runner and broke briefly rounding the final bend.
HEISENBERG - driver K Newman was warned for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion on the final bend and early in the run home.
WARLOCH - lay inwards throughout the run home.
DANCE TIME - faltered and broke on the final bend checking a trailing runner and was eased down. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a suspected fractured left hind fetlock with the gelding treated and transported to the Canterbury Equine Clinic for further assessment. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
HENRY HUBERT - driver J Dunn advised he did not activate the removable deafeners or sliding blinds due to having the field covered.

WILLANGUS LAD - broke passing the 700m hampering trailing runners and was unable to be restrained to its correct gait by driver J Morrison. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
REPEAT PAT - hampered by a breaking runner near the 700m. Driver G Smith advised he did not activate the sliding blinds due to having the field covered.
BRIGHT GLOW - hampered by a breaking runner near the 500m.

CAB CALLOWAY - when questioned, driver B Orange advised he was disappointed with the performance of the gelding and could offer no explanation.

CLASSEY ROBIN - over-raced middle stages. Held up throughout the run home. Driver G Smith advised the removable deafeners were not activated in consequence.
U R THE ONE - broke near the 550m after a slight easing of the pace.
TALIESIN - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Driver W House was warned to exercise greater care when shifting ground passing the 100m which briefly hampered an outside runner.
PAYTONS ROCK - briefly hampered passing the 100m.

TASMAN TEMPEST - over-raced early and middle stages. Had difficulty obtaining clear racing room in the run home. Driver S O'Reilly advised that the removable deafeners had failed to activate due to the cord becoming entangled. Miss O'Reilly will be spoken to regarding the manner she drove on the final bend when electing not to shift wider on the track when an opportunity existed before being covered by an outside runner.
ABSOLUTE DYNAMITE - raced wide early. Driver J Dunn reported the gelding had hung throughout.
APATCHOFGOLD - trainer B Hutton was warned for being late to notify the filly would be racing without sliding blinds. Over-raced early when being restrained to the rear of the field.
THE COALMAN - held up throughout the run home. Driver S Ottley advised she did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
BEST TRIO - held up final bend and in the run home.
MITSI GAYNOR - the required veterinary clearance was received. Pre-race warmed.
Junior driver S O'Reilly (assisted by G O'Reilly) admitted a breach of Rule 868(2) in that she failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to ensure TASMAN TEMPEST was given full opportunity to win or obtain the best possible position and/or finishing place by not shifting wider on the track on the final bend when an opportunity existed resulting in her horse being held up for clear racing room in the run home. After viewing the replays and considering penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Miss O'Reilly's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 7 July up to and including 17 July 2022 (4 days).
