WOODLEA BEAVER - driver K Cox advised the filly had been striking its sulky wheels during the running when over-racing. | |
Stewards questioned junior driver B Hope (assisted by T Williams) regarding the manner he drove leaving the final bend when shifting ground outwards on MOSSDALE MAC. Mr Hope explained that he had shifted wider on the track when having an advantage over AJIRA (C Dalgety) which was racing to his outside. However, SOPHIA BROMAC who MOSSDALE MAC had been trailing had also shifted ground simultaneous to his manoeuvre which meant his runner had to race wider than anticipated resulting in AJIRA being hampered briefly. After considering the matter, Stewards could not apportion sole blame to any one horse or driver and took the matter no further. |
