Trainer B Gray advised Stewards on 3 June that AFTERBURNER had recovered well following its last start and he has been pleased with the gelding's trackwork in preparation for racing at Invercargill on 6 June.

Race 1   ROBILLIARDS SHOWCASE JEWELLERS TROT
SASSY STAR - broke over the concluding stages. Stewards lodged a protest against 2nd placing under Rule 870(5) after the filly was lapped on at the finish by SLAINTE. The connections did not contest the protest and after viewing the replays SASSY STAR was relegated to 3rd placing by the Adjudicative Committee.
SLAINTE - driver J Morrison reported his gelding had trotted roughly and had proved difficult to steer.
IT'S SO EASY - lay inwards and trotted roughly throughout the run home placing driver P Davis at a disadvantage.
KIWI HEIR - broke at the start losing considerable ground.
BUTCHER KATE - broke racing into the first bend and again near the 1900m losing considerable ground. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
WITH GRACE - slow through the early and middle stages.
SEBASTIAN COE - lay inwards and trotted roughly late in the run home.
Race 2   ALLENTON PHARMACY PACE
CRIMSON ROCK - broke at the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
JUSTIN FUN - broke briefly at the start.
WINEMEUP - broke shortly after the start losing all chance. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
WESTAR LAD - broke at the start losing ground. Raced wide early.
MIDNIGHT SIOUX - raced wide early.
MOVE IT ON OVER - hampered by a breaking runner at the start. Held up late in the run home.
TOWER OF LOVE - fractious prior to the start. Displaced its overcheck at the start and was slow to begin. Lay inwards and paced roughly on the final bend losing ground.
Trainer J Simpson advised Stewards on 27 July that TOWER OF LOVE has had its hocks treated since last racing.
Race 3   STEWART & HOLLAND FILLIES & MARES MOBILE TROT
SAMANTHAS MOON - over-raced early and middle stages.
MARTHA STUART - hampered by a weakening runner on the final bend.
BRIGHT GLOW - hampered by a weakening runner on the final bend.
CRUSHER COLLINS - weakened final bend hampering trailing runners. When questioned, driver M Williamson reported the mare had felt lethargic throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery with the mare found to be lame in the off hind leg. The connections advised they will have the horse further examined in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance.
TIME UP THE HILL - trotted roughly in the run home before breaking over the concluding stages. Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards had viewed the replay and confirmed the mare had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a superficial injury to the right front heel bulb.
Trainer L Bond advised Stewards on 17 June that CRUSHER COLLINS has had its hocks treated since last racing.
Race 4   HELEN POPE 2YO FILLIES STAKES (MOBILE PACE)
GIRLSHAVTIME - weakened in the run home.
TIFFS LITTLE SISTER - held up early in the run home.
MILLWOOD NIKE - driver O Thornley was shown the replay and issued a warning for her lack of control when allowing her runner to shift up the track leaving the final bend.
VINITA ROSE - raced greenly in the score up and was out of position at the start. Paced roughly on the final bend.
Race 5   IAN LOCHHEAD MEMORIAL PACE
MEGAROCK - held up over the concluding stages.
WEBS REACTOR - broke shortly after the start losing ground. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
ROCK'N KIWI - broke at the start losing ground. Paced roughly over the concluding stages. When questioned regarding his decision not to improve wider on the track near the 600m when an opportunity existed driver R Close explained the gelding races best when saved for one run and he was reluctant to improve at this stage of the race as he felt he would have been forced very wide on the track by inside runners.
PROTEUS - driver G Smith reported that the removable deafeners had failed to activate due to the cord breaking.
KENNEDY - held up middle stages of the run home.
FULL OF DESIRE - raced wide early. Lay inwards and had to be steadied near the 250m.
MAYHEM IN MALIBU - held up early in the run home.
CHARLIE'S ACE - driver G Thornley reported that the removable deafeners had failed to activate due to the cord becoming entangled.
Race 6   RURAL BUSINESS ACCOUNTANTS 3YO CHAMPION STAKES (MOB PACE)
There was a significant delay to the start to enable marks to be removed from the track after there was an issue with the harrows on the tractor grooming the track.
BARNSTORMER - held up early in the run home.
CYRUS - lay inwards rounding the final bend.
ONEDIN MIKI - out of position at the start. Driver O Thornley was issued a warning.
Race 7   GRAEME SPARKS MEMORIAL MOBILE PACE
GOSAKHI - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver K Cameron. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare.
HONOUR SCROLL - held up by a weakening runner leaving the final bend.
I'LL WRITE THE STORY - trainer B Weaver advised the mare has been treated for a respiratory infection and by a chiropractor since last racing. Lay inwards throughout the run home.
KANSAS CITY JIM - weakened near the 800m hampering trailing runners before pacing roughly and breaking near the 400m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the right fore leg. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.
ROCK MY MIND - hung outwards and weakened leaving the final bend. When questioned, driver R Close reported the mare had paced roughly throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
U R THE ONE - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver T Chmiel. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the mare. Held up by a weakening runner on the final bend.
MORRISSEY - held up final bend and early in the run home.
PAYTONS ROCK - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver J Dunn. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
Trainer M Purvis advised Stewards on 9 June that ROCK MY MIND has recovered well since last racing and he will continue with the mare's current preparation.
Race 8   SHEEP MILK NZ SAPLING STAKES (MOBILE PACE)
DARE DEVIL - paced roughly shortly after the start and had to be steadied.
TRAIL BOSS - lay outwards rounding the final bend.
BORRISOKANE - broke racing into the first bend losing ground. Over-raced before breaking briefly near the 900m. Continued to over-race before breaking again near the 300m.
LUCIFER - hung inwards in the score up and was out of position at the start.
Race 9   GRAHAM LAING MEMORIAL HANDICAP TROT
NAVARA - broke at the start losing ground. A final warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding.
TAKE AFTER ME - fractious prior to the start and made contact with the barrier despite the efforts of driver J Morrison causing a delay. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Broke at the start losing ground.
PRINCE RANIER - raced wide early.
MOONS WAY - driver J Herbert reported the gelding had trotted roughly throughout.
THE FOX - fractious prior to the start causing a further delay. Broke at the start losing ground. Weakened final bend. Stood down to complete one satisfactory trial from a standing start prior to resuming.
ESCARGO - broke shortly after the start losing ground. Broke again near the 250m.
MAUI - driver L McCormick reported he dropped his whip near the 200m.
KING OF LOVE - over-raced middle stages and hung inwards. Held up early in the run home before trotting roughly near the 200m.
PRINCE TEKA - held up early in the run home.
TOP POCKET CHANCE - paced away and had to be broken up by its driver losing ground. Broke again near the 1900m losing all chance.
Race 10   INKWISE PRINT MOBILE PACE
A false start was declared when PERAKI REACTOR and ROCK N DASH locked wheels in the score up checking a trailing runner. There was a further delay to the start at the request of the TAB.
SZYBKA LANE - held up early in the run home.
PERAKI REACTOR - when questioned, driver G O'Reilly advised he was not disappointed with the performance considering the fast overall time and having to race parked for a considerable period.
ROCK N DASH - broke at the restart hampering a trailing runner. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly. Paced roughly in the run home. When questioned, driver T Williams advised he was disappointed with the performance and would be recommending gear changes prior to the filly resuming.
DONMARO - raced wide early.
SCOTLYNN BEACH BOY - raced wide early.
KINGSDOWN ATOM - held up early in the run home.
BAILEYS DIAMOND - over-raced middle stages.
CASINO ACTION - hampered by a breaking runner at the restart.
SPORTSCAM - back from the unruly position at the restart.
