Race 1 - RYDER ROOFING MOBILE PACE
RONNIE PICKERING - driver B Barclay was shown the films and spoken to regarding the manner in which he shifted off the marker line entering the home straight placing DUKE OF DUNDEE in tight quarters. After hearing from Mr Barclay he was issued with a warning pursuant to Rule 869(3)(b).

Race 1   HAMIL SADDLERY TROT
CUDDLY TROUBLE - broke passing the 1500 metres losing ground. Held up in the middle stages of the home straight.
TOLKIEN - broke at the start losing its chance.
MAKE MY DAY - broke near the 600 metres losing its chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the mare.
MAUDARCHY - lay inwards on the final bend contacting several track markers.
ALPINE RETREAT - broke entering the home straight.
SPURS OF WAR - broke near the 100 metres. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.
MISS JESSICA - hampered by a breaking runner near the 1600 metres and over-raced thereafter.
SUNNIVUE PHILEAH - lay inwards on the bend near the 900 metres.
Race 2   WARD & SINCLAIR FILLIES & MARES MOBILE PACE
ALACRITY LASS - shifted up the track leaving the final bend when under pressure.
WHO'S SMOKIN - raced keenly in the parked position through the middle stages.
FLIGHT CREW - fractious prior to the score-up then broke losing considerable ground and was unable to take up its allotted barrier position. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the filly.
SWEET ANNIE - raced wide in the early stages.
HANS IDEAL - driver C Ferguson admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than is permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After viewing replays and hearing penalty submissions the JCA imposed a fine of $200.
GREENBACK BOOGIE - driver B Orange reported that he had sustained a punctured sulky tyre passing the 400 metres.
WATTLEBANK LASS - over-raced near the 400 metres when placed in tight quarters.
SCRITTORE - broke rounding the bend near the 1600 metres losing some ground. Under pressure from the 800 metres and weakened from the 600 metres. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Stable representative A Armour reported they would be making gear alterations prior to SCRITTORE racing next.
Race 3   ADVANCE AGRICULTURE MOBILE PACE
JAFFIE J - lay out on various occasions during the running and raced greenly near the 550 metres. Trainer D McLachlan advised he would be making gear alterations for upcoming engagements in an effort to rectify this tendency.
KIWI JEWEL - raced in the parked position until weakening from the 600 metres. Forced to race wide by JAFFIE J passing the 500 metres and as a result locked wheels with IDEAL ROBYN. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities. Stewards opened and adjourned an inquiry into the driving tactics of driver B Shirley through the early to middle stages.
ALEXIS ROCKET - broke in the score-up then kicked and bucked taking no part in the event. Stood down to trial to the Stewards satisfaction on one occasion prior to racing next.
CALL ME KEITH - when questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance stable representative Mr P Hunter advised the gelding had received a good trip and the race was run to suit. Driver P Hunter admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) in that he used his whip on more occasions than is permitted by Clause (b) of the Use of Whip Regulations. After viewing replays and hearing penalty submissions the JCA imposed a fine of $200.
IDEAL ROBYN - slow to leave the pre-race circle and was out of position at the start. Severely hampered near the 500 metres, locking wheels with KIWI JEWEL and losing its chance in consequence. Will now be drawn Unruly for future mobile start engagements.
Race 4   JACCKA LODGE MOBILE PACE
ELLNBAC - held up for clear racing room in the middle stages of the home straight.
MAJOR MENACE - raced wide without cover in the early stages.
Race 5   PALAMOUNTAINS MOBILE PACE
THE RED ROBBER - underwent and passed a pre-race Veterinary examination after not having raced for some considerable time.
TETRICK - held up in the early stages of the home straight.
DELIGHT - raced three-wide without cover for a distance in the middle stages. Weakened from the 600 metres. When questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange advised the gelding had been flat throughout and was disappointing.
BETTER GALLEON - raced wide without cover through the early stages. Briefly held up by a tiring runner near the 600 metres.
Race 6   WOODLANDS STUD HANDICAP TROT
ONLY ONE WAY - broke passing the 200 metres.
ZONED SCARLETT - broke briefly shortly after the start.
MAJESTIC CONNIES - when questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance stable representative Mrs B Williamson advised the gelding had trialed well in the lead up to today.
Race 7   OLYMPIC WATCHES MOBILE PACE
ANNIE FITZ - held up rounding the final bend and in the early stages of the home straight.
FRANCO HUNTINGTON - raced wide through the early stages. Lay inwards on the bends.
MY MATE BEN - when questioned regarding the performance driver B Orange could offer no tangible explanation.
TARGARYEN - paced roughly near the 1400 metres.
MY GEORGIE BOY - lay inwards passing the 900 metres contacting track markers. Over-raced through the middle stages.
OHOKA BANDIT - held up passing the 100 metres with junior driver E Barron reporting due to this she did not have the opportunity to activate the removable deafeners applied to the gelding.
Race 8   CARPET PLUS WILLY'S FLOORING TROT
KING OF THE NORTH - broke at the start.
HORSE OF COURSE - lay inwards throughout the home straight with driver M Williamson advising that due to this he did not activate the removable deafeners applied to the gelding.
T BONE RAWHIDE - broke at the start losing its chance.
MADRIK - broke at the start. Forced to race four wide passing the 700 metres then shortly after shifted down the track simultaneous to JIMMY CARTER shifting up the track resulting in MADRIK breaking.
DAVEY MAC - broke at the start. Again broke passing the 1500 metres losing its chance. Over-raced on various occasions during the running.
MISS BAMBOOCHA - broke leaving the final bend.
JIMMY CARTER - shifted up the track near the 650 metres. When questioned regarding the seemingly improved performance driver B Williamson advised the gelding had made mistakes in recent starts however today had trotted well throughout and performed accordingly.
Race 9   ARDEN LODGE MOBILE PACE
KICKUPYAHEELS - hung outwards and paced roughly in the score-up and was out of position at the start .
DEUS EX - paced roughly over the concluding stages.
WOLFENSTEIN - broke briefly in the score-up however recovered to take up its allotted barrier position at the dispatch.
Race 10   OSBORN ROCK SUPPLIES MOBILE PACE
TAIRLAW TOLL - raced three-wide with cover throughout.
MAJOR MEISTER - raced wide without cover throughout and weakened rounding the final bend. Stewards will speak with Junior driver J Morrison in the coming days regarding this.
RAKE - held up rounding the final bend.
CHUCKLES - Co-trainer K Barclay was issued with a warning when presenting this runner without the notified Sliding Blinds. Held up in through the early to middle stages of the home straight.
MAJOR MEISTER - Stewards showed the films and spoke with junior driver J Morrison regarding the tactics he adopted on his drive of this colt where he was three-wide for the entire journey. Mr Morrison explained that due to him drawing wide his initial intention was to roll forward however due to the fast early pace he could not find a place in the running line. He then considered the option to pull back but this was quickly not viable due to a horse becoming positioned on his back. Stewards accepted and noted Mr Morrison's comments.
