SHOMPANYA - broke late in the run home and continued on in a break across the finish line. Authorisation of 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards confirmed the gelding was not lapped on at the finish and had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation. Driver S Ottley advised she did not activate the removable deafeners due to the gelding trotting roughly in the run home.

MISS MADDIE MAXIE - briefly hampered near the 150m when trailing JACKS POINT which had shifted inwards. JACKS POINT - lay inwards and struck a track marker near the 1450m. Hung inwards leaving the final bend and in the run home resulting in the gelding shifting into the passing lane. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. Notwithstanding this, driver R Close was advised to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home and leave the passing lane clear for trailing runners.

MOUNT THOMAS - out of position at the start despite the efforts of driver S Hill. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Hung inwards rounding the final bend. Junior driver S Hill (assisted by J Dunn) defended a breach of Rule 868(3) in that he failed to drive his runner out to the end of the race when having a reasonable chance of finishing in 4th place. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and Mr Hill's driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing on 11 October up to and including 18 October 2026 (3 days).
