Authorisation of this runner's promoted 4th placing was withheld until Stewards had reviewed the footage of the start and were satisfied the mare had not gained an advantage when starting closer in than its allocated Unruly position.

MOONLIGHT ANGEL - slow to begin. The removable deafeners came adrift after being activated near the 1200m and subsequently hung down around the horse's hind legs. Trainer J Clementson was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for failing to affix this gear so as not to come adrift.

Driver D O'Connell admitted a charge under the Push Out Rule 869(4)(6)(b)(c) in that he shifted ground outwards near the 1250m forcing MY BONNIE LASS wider on the track. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.
