Follow up blood tests will be conducted on MACANDREW AVIATOR and connections undertook to notify the Stewards of any findings.

FRANCO SINATRA - when questioned regarding the performance driver C Dalgety advised he was disappointed with the effort and was unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary examination at the request of connections revealed no abnormalities. Connections advised they will have blood tests taken from the gelding in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.

THE BIG LEBOWSKI - required assistance from an attendant in the pre-race formation. A warning was placed on the gelding's barrier manners. When questioned regarding the performance Driver Z Butcher stated that he had attempted to improve three wide approaching the 1400m but forward runners shifted out off the marker line in front of him. He further stated he then attempted to improve down the back straight the final time but had been unable to hold the back of LITTLE SPIKE and had raced wide thereafter. Mr Butcher also added that he had been more than satisfied with the performance given the 35m handicap and the manner in which the race had been run.

Driver C Ferguson admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Ferguson's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 10 October up to and including 16 October 2025 (3 days).
