Stewards lodged a protest against 7th placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the gelding had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. Driver P Vercruysse did not contest the protest and IMPERIAL MAN was disqualified by the Stewards.

Stewards lodged a protest against 4th placing being awarded to the gelding under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging IMPERIAL MAN had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. After viewing the replays driver R McIlwrick did not contest the protest and IMPERIAL MAN was disqualified by the Stewards. Connections were advised the gelding was stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
