Authorisation of this runner's 4th placing was withheld until the Stewards were satisfied the filly had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation when breaking during the running.

OUR ROSE HILL - driver N Williamson was issued with a warning for using his whip over the concluding stages with a foot removed from the sulky footrest. In taking this course of action Stewards accepted Mr Williamson's explanation that the sulky seat had shifted back resulting in his foot slipping from the footrest.

TICKTOCK MCGLAUGHLIN - crowded by an outside runner at the start. Over-raced early then broke approaching the 1650m and refused to settle losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.

Stewards lodged a protest against 2nd placing being awarded to the gelding under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging TICKTOCK MCGLAUGHLIN had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. After viewing the replays connections did not contest the protest and TICKTOCK MCGLAUGHLIN was disqualified by the Stewards.
