Junior driver M Kyle, assisted by K Larsen, admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) that she drove carelessly near the 150m when shifting ground outwards and contacting the sulky wheel of RISING STORM resulting in the tyre puncturing. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.

Mr Williamson added he had replaced half-blinds with full blinds and in his opinion this had caused BAUTISTA to over-race, however not withstanding that he was disappointed with the effort.

Junior driver E Adams, assisted by M Williamson, was questioned in relation to the reason she failed to ease RAMBLIN ROVER down to the marker line when the opportunity presented itself for a distance passing the 1200m, thereby allowing her runner to obtain the one/one position. After considering her explanation, together with her relative inexperience Stewards advised her that greater judgement and tactical awareness would be expected in similar circumstances in the future, particularly where an opportunity exists to obtain a more advantageous racing position without placing her runner at a disadvantage.
