CAPTAIN DASH - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination due to not having raced for a considerable period of time and was cleared to start. Cleared from the Unruly for future mobile starts.

Stewards spoke with driver C Dalgety regarding this incident who advised that he had made this movement for safety reasons as the horse trailing him and his own runner were racing fiercely due to the incident near the 1250m.

RAKATURBO - underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination after being observed to have blood present in its mouth, which revealed the gelding to have pulled a tooth and was cleared to start. Unable to take up its correct barrier position at the candy pole due to insufficient room for a short distance. Held up final bend.
