KAIRO - fractious in the preliminary and attempted to leave the track during the warmup dislodging driver K Green from the sulky. The gelding was uninjured in this incident. Ms Green was examined by the oncourse St John Ambulance personnel and cleared of any injury. Started from the Unruly position at the request of trainer/driver K Green for today's race only due to being fractious after the earlier incident. Slow away and then never in contention thereafter.

Hampered by a breaking runner near the 550m and was forced over track makers when placed in restricted room. Authorisation of this runner's promoted 4th placing was withheld until Stewards had reviewed the footage of the start and were satisfied the mare had not gained an advantage when starting closer in than its allocated Unruly position.

KYLE LOCH - lay in on the bends throughout. Raced wide from the 950m. Returned to the birdcage enclosure with blood present in a nostril. A post-race Veterinary examination revealed a small laceration inside the nostril with the gelding having recovered well.

HAIL STONE - weakened from the 900m hampering a trailing runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality. Stood down to trial in a competitive manner on two occasions to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.

HAIL STONE - underwent a pre-race Veterinary examination at the start and was cleared to race. Weakened final bend. Stood down to trial on one occasion in a competitive manner to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.
