MOONLIGHT ANGEL - slow to begin. The removable deafeners came adrift after being activated near the 1200m and subsequently hung down around the horse's hind legs. Trainer J Clementson was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for failing to affix this gear so as not to come adrift.

MASSIVE MERC - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1600m. Weakened from the 700m. When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver C Ferguson advised the gelding had raced lethargically. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Mr Ferguson advised he would give consideration to sending the horse for a spell.

MASSIVE MERC - trainer C Ferguson was issued with a $100 Minor Infringement Notice after presenting the gelding without the notified blinds. Broke at the start losing ground. Authorisation of this runner's 1st placing was withheld until Stewards had reviewed the footage and were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.

A false start was declared when PEAKNMONKEY broke in the score up and locked wheels with MASSIVE MERC which broke. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Driver R Close elected to move to the unruly position for the restart where PEAKNMONKEY will remain for future mobile starts.

BONJOUR PARIS - broke after 150m and hung inwards hampering trailing runners losing ground. Broke near the 1700m and then again on several occasions losing all chance. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding.

BONJOUR PARIS - lay inwards and trotted roughly leaving the final bend. Driver J Thomas was issued a warning for using his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home.

Hung inwards and broke rounding the final bend when weakening striking track markers. Placed on the unruly for future mobile starts at the trainer's request.

BONJOUR PARIS - raced greenly and trotted roughly near the 1400m with the gelding shifting up the track. Again raced greenly and shifted up the track in the run home. When questioned regarding the improved performance co-trainer/driver J Thomas advised the gelding had been breaking in previous starts and had trialed well in preparation for tonight's race. Mr Thomas was spoken to advisedly for the manner in which he drove when allowing the gelding to race away from the marker line when leading at various stages.
