Driver D O'Connell admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly near the 300m placing his runner on to the sulky of THE GREEK FREAK causing his own horse to break hampering a trailing runner and losing ground. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $400.

Held up until late in the run home. Authorisation of 4th placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation and lost ground when in the incorrect gait during the running.

HARRIET'S MOMENT - broke near the 1600m checking a trailing runner losing ground. Broke again near the 1100m losing all chance. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.

Driver P Williamson admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip free of the rein on one occasion in the run home. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a suspension of Mr Williamson's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 4 March up to and including 26 March 2026 (4 days).
