Junior driver G Goodman, assisted by N Williamson, admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly when contacting the sulky wheel of WILD EAST near the 700m resulting in the tyre puncturing and coming off the rim. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $200.

DRAGON POWER - weakened from the 600m. When questioned regarding the performance driver S O'Reilly advised that although the gelding had paced roughly on several occasions and was racing up in grade today she was disappointed with the effort.

When assessing this Stewards took into account there were no consequential effects. Had some difficulty obtaining clear running throughout the run home. Driver H Douglas advised he would be recommending gear changes.
