THE MAESTRO - checked and fell to the track near the 400m dislodging driver B Orange. THE MAESTRO underwent a veterinary examination and was found to have blood present in the nose area consistent with its head having contacted the ground, with the gelding being transported from the track in the Horse Ambulance. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming. Driver B Orange was examined by the St John Paramedics and cleared to fulfil his remaining driving engagements.

SCOTT - trainer K Green was issued a $100 Minor Infringement Notice for presenting the gelding to race with removable deafeners instead of the notified fixed deafeners. Paced roughly and broke briefly near the 2100m then raced greenly and hung out hampering a number of trailing runners. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.

Driver R Gutsell elected to start from the Unruly position for the restart where the mare will remain for future mobile starts. Broke early in the score up of the restart and was a distance back from the Unruly position at the start.

Mr Ferguson was examined by the St John Paramedics and cleared to fulfil his remaining driving engagements.
