PUTERE BOY - trainer B McIntyre was warned for presenting the gelding without the notified blinds. Lay out first bend. Over-raced early and middle stages. Hung outwards approaching the 1000m hampering an outside runner and placing driver H Douglas in difficulty eventually being retired from the race. A warning was placed on the racing record of the gelding. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have some soreness in the left fore heel and abrasions to the front legs. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.

PUTERE BOY - trainer B McIntyre was warned for failing to affix mudguards to the sulky. Broke shortly after the start losing considerable ground, hampering IT'S A PLEASURE which broke in consequence. A warning was placed on the barrier record of the gelding. Authorisation of this runner's 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards had viewed the footage and were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation.

FOREVER ARDEN - underwent a pre-race veterinary examination after being observed to have blood present in its mouth following the two false starts and was found to have a small cut on its lip being cleared to start. Held up final bend and early stages of the run home. Driver R McIlwrick was questioned regarding the tactics he adopted over the concluding stages of the run home when held up and electing not to take a run to his inside which became available inside the final 100 metres. Mr McIlwrick explained that his gelding had become worked up after the two false starts and having to undergo a veterinary examination. He added that he was hard on the back of MR PRESIDENT and was aware that there was room to his inside over the concluding stages however because the gelding was travelling so well in this position he was reluctant to attempt a shift inwards off Mr Barclay's helmet or activate the removable deafeners for safety reasons, due to being in such close proximity to the sulky of MR PRESIDENT. Stewards accepted and noted Mr McIlwrick's comments.

After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a suspension of Mr Black's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 10 August up to and including 4 September 2025 (3 days).

Hampered by a weakening runner in the early and middle stages of the run home placing driver C Dalgety in some difficulty, resulting in the gelding striking the sulky wheel of FOREVER ARDEN. Stewards questioned junior driver C Dalgety regarding the tactics he adopted during the race, particularly near the 600m, when he allowed his runner to be covered by the sharply improving JENNY GUMP. Mr Dalgety explained that the mare was hanging on the right rein and that he was reluctant to shift three wide at that stage of the race, given the distance remaining to the winning post. Stewards noted Mr Dalgety's explanation and took into account the manner the runner had been driven at its most recent start.

Stewards investigated a perceived breach of the Push Out Rule however after viewing replays it was established that driver N Williamson (UTAH JAZZ) had commenced his outwards movement prior to FOREVER ARDEN reaching his sulky wheel with no further action deemed necessary.
