A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had suffered an atrial fibrillation. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance including the results of an ECG before completing one trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to resuming.

Lay inwards in the early stages of the run home placing driver K Green in some difficulty who reported she did not release the removable deafeners in consequence. Stewards questioned Ms Green regarding the tactics she adopted near the 1800m when restraining the gelding allowing an inside runner to shift out and obtain a run in the one out line. After hearing from Ms Green and viewing the replays Stewards adjourned the matter to give it further consideration.
