Driver R McIlwrick was warned for failing to maintain a straight course in the run home. When questioned regarding the performance of a favoured runner Mr McIlwrick advised that the gelding may have worked too hard in the early stages.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a laceration to the left front leg which was treated. Connections were advised ABULL was stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming. Junior driver D Anderson, assisted by senior driver C Ferguson, admitted a charge that he drove carelessly in the incident near the 80m when allowing his runner to shift ground inwards checking an inside runner. After viewing replays and considering penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Anderson's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 17 July 2025, 4 days.

After viewing the replays Stewards were satisfied his explanation was not unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further.
