A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days. Mr Smith was issued a warning for the manner in which he drove shortly after the start when crowding an inside runner.

GIFT CARD - trotted roughly passing the 1300m. Weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner and struck several track markers when laying inwards. When questioned regarding the performance trainer J Campbell and driver M Williamson were both disappointed with the effort. A post-race veterinary and endoscopic examination revealed the early signs of a respiratory infection. Mr Campbell advised he would be having blood tests taken from the gelding in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
