Stewards investigated a perceived breach of the Push Out Rule at this stage of the race, however after reviewing the footage it was established that driver B Williamson (RIGHTAZZ) had commenced his outwards shift prior to SALUTE reaching his sulky wheel, accordingly no further action was taken. Raced greenly near the 900m.

MYSTIC MAGIC - driver T Chmiel was issued a warning for using the whip with his foot removed from the sulky footrest in the early stages. Weakened leaving the final bend hampering trailing runners. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Chmiel advised he was disappointed with the effort and was unable to provide any explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
