A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had suffered an atrial fibrillation. HIDDEN TALENT - when questioned regarding the tactics he adopted on the favoured runner trainer/driver N Williamson advised that coming off the 30m handicap he was reluctant to push the mare early and felt the better option was to save for one run however found he was always chasing on a strong pace, adding he was not disappointed with the effort.

Stewards spoke with Mr Williamson regarding the mare shifting ground in the run home and not maintaining a straight line. Mr Williamson explained that at this mare's previous start when finishing wide on the track she had shied at the crowd when obtaining the lead therefore today he elected to shift down the track when well clear of other runners to avoid a repeat of the previous start. Stewards noted Mr Williamson's comments.
