Mr Dalgety advised the gelding had raced greenly and felt his best option was to restrain to obtain cover when challenged for the lead. Stewards noted Mr Dalgety's comments.

When questioned regarding the performance driver J Dunn advised the filly had raced lethargically after racing roughly in the early stages and failed to race competitively. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion prior to resuming.
