When questioned regarding the performance Driver E Johnson stated that after losing ground at the start the gelding, which was racing older horses in tonight's event, had lay in entering the first turn losing more ground. Ms Johnson further stated that she had been instructed to save YA EEJIT YA for one run and had not received a trail into the race as she had hoped when JOHNNY WHO, which she was following, had failed to improve as expected. She also added that the gelding had trotted roughly early in the run home having to be steadied before finishing on well once balanced. Stewards noted Ms Johnson's comments.
