FOVEAUX GAMBLER - raced wide throughout after making an unsuccessful attempt to sit parked near the 1200m when a runner to the inside shifted ground outwards to race in the one out line. Driver C Negus admitted a charge under Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300.

Driver W Frost admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly near the 500m when allowing his horse to shift outwards when activating gear and contact the sulky wheel of FOVEAUX GAMBLER and break resulting in trailing runners being severely checked with driver K McClintock being dislodged from the sulky of EVIDENTLY. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Frost's Amateur Driver's licence from the conclusion of racing tonight up to and including 17 April 2025 (4 months).
