Stewards lodged a protest against 2nd placing being awarded to ROYAL BELLE (K Hadfield) under Rule 869A(2) alleging interference near the 150m to SHE'S A LADY (J Morrison) placed 3rd. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties, the Adjudicative Committee upheld the protest and ROYAL BELLE was relegated to 3rd placing. Driver K Hadfield was issued with a warning to make a greater effort to maintain a straight course in the run home. When assessing this, Stewards were mindful of the minimal degree of movement from Mr Hadfield's runner.

Junior driver D Anderson, assisted by N Williamson, was issued a charge alleging that he drove carelessly near the 1800m when shifting ground inwards checking TRENDY VAN GOGH (C Dalgety) which broke in consequence losing all chance. Due to Mr Dalgety having left the course the matter was adjourned sine die by the Adjudicative Committee.

LILY'S A STAR - broke shortly after the start after contacting the sulky wheel of MELTON MAGNATE losing considerable ground. Stewards lodged a protest against 12th placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the mare had broken in excess of 150m in the early stages. Driver M Holbrough did not contest the protest and LILY'S A STAR was disqualified by Stewards. Miss Holbrough (assisted by B Mowbray) admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly when shifting ground and allowing her runner to strike the sulky wheel of MELTON MAGNATE resulting in her runner breaking and losing all chance. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Miss Holbrough's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 3 December up to and including 6 December 2025 (2 days).
