When questioned regarding the performance trainer/driver J Versteeg advised the gelding had trotted roughly on occasions and in particular in the early stages and he would be making alterations to the horse's shoeing prior to its next start.

KING CHARLES - raced wide until reaching the parked position near the 1100m before hanging inwards with this runner's sulky wheel making contact with the front leg of PONTIFF. Notwithstanding the racing manners of the gelding, driver S Hill was advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground.
