Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards had spoken to drivers S Thornley (STAR ON THE ROCKS) and J Young-Grant (VERDUCCI) placed 6th and were satisfied that Mr Thornley's horse had shifted inwards as a result of being crowded. After viewing the replays Mrs Young-Grant elected not to proceed with a protest with placings being duly authorised.

Hung in briefly and struck a track marker near the 1450m. Miss Tomlinson was reminded of her obligations under Rule 507B after leaving course prior to the expiry of 25 minutes following her drive when Stewards wished to speak with her regarding the mare's racing manners.
