PLAYING WITH STARS - over-raced middle stages. Junior driver H Douglas reported the mare had been striking the sulky wheel discs at various stages during the running. Mr Douglas (assisted by M Williamson) defended a breach of Rule 868(3) alleging he failed to drive the mare out to the end of the race when having a reasonable chance of finishing in 4th place. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved. After considering submissions on penalty Mr Douglas' driver's licence was suspended from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 1 August 2025 (3 days).

Junior driver T Borcoskie (assisted by J Dunn) admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly in this incident and after viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Borcoskie's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 7 November 2025.
