After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and junior driver R Harrison (assisted by G Smith) the Adjudicative Committee dismissed the protest. Miss Harrison admitted an associated charge in that she allowed HI LIFE to start from the incorrect position and the Adjudicative Committee imposed a fine of $300.

A false start was declared when TALLANDFAST scored up in the incorrect position. Junior driver M Holbrough (assisted by S Tomlinson) defended a breach of Rule 858(1)(a) and (d) alleging she scored up in the incorrect position inside BLACKJACK (S Ottley) resulting in a false start being declared and a delay to the start. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from all parties, the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and imposed a fine of $300.
