Stewards lodged a protest against 3rd placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the gelding had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. Connections did not contest the protest and RONDO TROUBLE was disqualified by the Stewards.

IMPERIAL KNIGHT - broke racing into the first bend losing all chance. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination after the gelding appeared to be uneven in its gait which revealed signs of lameness in the near hind. Stood down pending a veterinary clearance prior to resuming.

B K MUMMA JAMIE - over-raced early and middle stages. Driver R May reported the mare had been making abnormal breathing noises during the running. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.

B K MUMMA JAMIE - driver P Wakelin admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that she used her whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Miss Wakelin's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 1 October 2025 (2 days).
