After viewing the replays it was established that driver R May (BIGGLES) had commenced his outward movement prior to KAIRAKI DELIGHT reaching his sulky wheel and accordingly no further action was required.

Driver R May defended a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) alleging he drove carelessly when shifting ground and checking an outside runner. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and both drivers the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and imposed a fine of $300.
