Shifted outwards near the 300m simultaneously to MISTER BLUE SKY shifting out and contacted the sulky wheel of MISTER BLUE SKY before breaking and losing all chance. Stewards questioned junior driver A Cameron (assisted by B Orange) regarding this incident and after considering her explanation and viewing the replays, a warning was placed on the racing record of KING ARTHUR.

KING ARTHUR - trainer J Gray advised the gelding has had its hocks treated since last racing. When questioned regarding the performance Mr Gray advised the horse was having its first start back for six weeks with the gelding peaking on its run inside the final 300m and he expected it would derive considerable benefit from the race.

WESTAR MOLLY - held up throughout the run home. Driver B Hope advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.

WESTAR MOLLY - raced three wide through the middle stages. Placed in restricted room when weakening near the 400m when SHERWOOD MAGGIE momentarily shifted ground outwards. Stewards spoke with drivers H Douglas (WESTAR MOLLY) and J Cox (SHERWOOD MAGGIE) where it was established that SHERWOOD MAGGIE shifted outwards from the running line to obtain clear racing room simultaneous to JENNY GUMP shifting inwards from the three wide line resulting in WESTAR MOLLY being tightened for racing room and hampering a trailing runner. Mr Douglas confirmed there were no consequential effects to his runner. Notwithstanding this J Cox was issued with a warning for the manner he shifted ground.

WESTAR MOLLY - raced wide early until reaching the parked position near the 1500m. When asked to comment on the performance driver J Dunn advised that the mare had worked hard early to obtain that position, however notwithstanding that he was disappointed with the effort.

WESTAR MOLLY - briefly locked wheels with ROBYNS HUSTLER leaving the pre-race formation and was out of position at the candy pole. Driver H Douglas was spoken to regarding his perceived lack of intent to take up his correct barrier position by the candy pole.

After viewing the replays and hearing penalty submissions the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Frost's Amateur driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 23 June up to and including 23 July 2024 (1 month).
