A warning was placed on the racing record of WHATSUPMAN. Trainer A Stuart advised he would be making gear changes prior to the gelding racing next.

Driver B Weaver admitted a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Weaver's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 15 February up to and including 22 February 2026 (2 days).

Stewards questioned drivers G O'Reilly (JUKEBOX GYPSY) and C Dalgety (LA CONCHA) regarding this and after hearing from both drivers and viewing the replays which were inconclusive, Stewards took the matter no further. Held up throughout the run home. Mr Dalgety advised he did not activate the removable deafeners in consequence.
