A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Stewards questioned driver J Versteeg regarding the tactics he adopted from the 1200m when electing to improve three wide without cover after the gelding had broken in the score up losing considerable ground. After taking initial evidence from Mr Versteeg, Stewards adjourned the matter for further consideration.
