After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr White's Amateur Driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including 16 August 2026 (6 weeks).

When questioned regarding the tactics adopted inside the final 400m, Mr Close advised that he had attempted to shift wider rounding the final bend however the horse had hung inwards causing him considerable difficulty and he had been unable to come to the outside of the track despite his efforts. Stewards accepted Mr Close's comments.

Stewards questioned Mr Cameron regarding his decision not to improve into the three wide line prior to being covered by outside runners near the 500m. Mr Cameron advised that LOUIS is best driven when saved for one run and that the gelding had been under pressure for a short distance just prior to runners improving outside him. Mr Cameron further advised he believed the favoured LOGAN ROCK which he was following would improve into the race giving him the opportunity to shift into clear racing room in the run home however LOGAN ROCK had not improved as well as expected resulting in him being held up. After considering his explanation and viewing the replays, Stewards were satisfied his explanation was not unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further.

Authorisation of CARLIN's 3rd placing was withheld until Stewards had reviewed all available race footage and were satisfied the gelding had not gained an advantage over any other runner while in a break during the initial stages. After considering all available footage and the submissions of Driver M Holbrough (assisted by A Butt), Stewards determined that although CARLIN did not lose ground while in a break the gelding had not gained an advantage over any other runner as a result. Stewards were also satisfied that Miss Holbrough had taken all reasonable steps to return the gelding to its correct gait. Accordingly, authorisation of the gelding's 3rd placing was declared.
