GINAS MAJESTY - shifted inwards near the 1300m simultaneously to KING OF DIAMONDS progressing forward and then hung inwards placing KING OF DIAMONDS in restricted room briefly. Returned to the assembly area with a small amount of blood present in a nostril. A post-race veterinary examination confirmed the mare was not a bleeder.

Stewards lodged a protest against 2nd placing being awarded to the gelding under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging WHAT THE BELL had broken in excess of 50m inside the final 200m. After viewing the replays driver S Ottley did not contest the protest and WHAT THE BELL was disqualified by the Stewards. A warning was placed on the racing record of the filly.
