Junior driver A Cameron was warned for using her whip on a runner out of contention. KELTIC TIGER - broke at the start and shifted inwards checking trailing runners and made heavy contact with the sulky of RUBY'S A DELIGHT losing all chance and was retired from the race. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts and stood down to trial to the satisfaction of Stewards on one occasion from a standing start prior to resuming.

BONDI LUSTRE - shifted inwards approaching the first bend crowding an inside runner. Junior driver O Thornley (assisted by J Dunn) admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that she drove carelessly approaching the first bend after shifting ground when insufficiently clear of OPO which had to be restrained. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty, the Adjudicative Committee suspended Miss Thornley's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 10 May up to and including 17 May 2024 (3 days).

ZIA BROMAC - broke at the start and shifted outwards and became awkwardly placed close to the sulky of FLYING ASHES losing ground. Held up early in the run home. Broke near the 200m losing all chance when awkwardly placed close to the sulky of FLYING ASHES which was weakening and FLYAWAY which had shifted in marginally. Stewards questioned drivers R McIlwrick (FLYAWAY), D Ferguson (ITSAMONEYMAKER) and J Morrison (ZIA BROMAC) regarding this and after hearing from all parties, Stewards were unable to apportion blame onto any one horse or driver and took the matter no further.

GOORAMBAT ART - driver T Chmiel defended a breach of Rule 869(2) and the Whip and Rein Regulations in that he used his whip with more than a wrist flicking motion early in the run home. After viewing the replays and hearing evidence from Stewards and Mr Chmiel the Adjudicative Committee found the charge proved and after submissions on penalty imposed a fine of $300.
