THE BLOSS - crowded by an outside runner racing into the first bend. When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer B Borcoskie advised the mare had benefited from a drop back in class from recent races.

THE BLOSS - hung inwards final bend striking track markers. Notwithstanding this driver K Newman was issued a warning to make a greater effort to avoid making contact with track markers in future. Mr Newman will be spoken to in the coming days regarding the manner in which he used his whip rounding the final bend and in the run home.

When questioned regarding the performance both driver S O'Reilly and trainer B Borcoskie advised they were very disappointed with the effort and could offer no explanation. Mr Borcoskie added he would have blood tests taken from the mare in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.

ONE OVER DA LINE - held up in the early and middle stages of the run home and trotted roughly passing the 150m. Broke late in the run home and continued on in a break across the finish line. Stewards lodged a protest against 3rd placing being awarded under Rule 870(5) alleging the gelding was lapped on at the finish by CLYDE, PAIGE and MAVIS JONES. After viewing the replays driver J Dunn did not contest the protest and ONE OVER DA LINE was relegated to 6th placing by the Stewards.
