Mr Close admitted a breach of Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly when shifting outwards near the 150m checking and hampering outside runners. After viewing the replays and hearing submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Close's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing on 27 July up to and including 8 August 2025 (3 days).

Driver S Ottley reported the gelding had paced roughly and raced lethargically throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed minor lameness in the left hind leg. Stewards will follow up with connections in the coming days.
