CALYPSO - lay inwards near the 900m striking track markers. Weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner and struck track markers when laying inwards. When questioned regarding the performance driver J Morrison advised the mare had been unsuited to the mobile start and he would be recommending the horse be restricted to standing starts in the immediate future where possible.

CALYPSO - hung outwards and was awkwardly placed close to the sulky of THE HIGHWAYMAN near the 1000m which was hampered momentarily. Weakened final bend hampering a trailing runner. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a high heart rate and slow recovery with signs of muscle tie up. Connections advised they will have blood tests taken from the filly in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.
