Authorisation of 2nd placing was withheld until Stewards were satisfied the gelding had complied with the Breaking Horses Regulation in the early stages.

HOOF IT HAGRID - broke at the start losing considerable ground. Placed on the unruly for future standing starts. Held up by a weakening runner final bend. Again held up early in the run home. Stewards lodged a protest against 2nd placing being awarded under Rule 870(3) and the Breaking Horses Regulation alleging the gelding had broken in excess of 150m in the early stages. After viewing the replays connections did not contest the protest and HOOF IT HAGRID was disqualified by Stewards.
