FRANCO MESSI - when questioned regarding the improved performance co-trainer B White advised the gelding had been suited to a change in training regime and the addition of sliding blinds.

A post-race Veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormality. Connections advised they will have blood tests conducted in the coming days and Stewards will follow up the results.

Driver C Ferguson admitted a charge under Rule 869(3)(b) in that he drove carelessly racing into the first bend when shifting ground outwards hampering BEAUDIENE BLAZE which broke in consequence. After viewing replays and considering submissions on penalty the Adjudicative Committee suspended Mr Ferguson's driver's licence from the conclusion of racing today up to and including Friday 29 September (2 days).

ITSAMONEYMAKER - held up early and middle stages of the run home. Contacted the sulky wheel of HE'S TOUGH near the 150m. Junior driver R Harrison (assisted by B Butt) was shown the replay and issued with a warning. In taking this course of action Stewards were satisfied there had been no consequential effects as a result. Miss Harrison advised she did not activate the sliding blinds when held up in the run home.

BORRISOKANE - checked and broke after 100m losing ground. Lay outwards near the 450m simultaneous to AMARETTO FRANCO laying inwards resulting in both runners breaking. Stewards were unable to apportion blame onto any one horse or driver and accordingly took the matter no further.
