When questioned regarding the improved performance trainer C Morrison advised the gelding had been racing without luck in recent starts which had made the form line look a lot worse than what it actually was. Mr Morrison added the horse had been able to capitalise on an economical run throughout.

When questioned regarding his tactics near the 1200m driver K Cameron advised he was reluctant to shift outwards given that the horse racing in the parked position had worked hard in the early stages when unsuccessfully challenging for the lead and was concerned this horse would weaken resulting in him having to improve wide on the track. After considering his explanation, Stewards were satisfied his tactics were not unreasonable in the circumstances and took the matter no further.
